We are happy to announce the release of a new design – the logo and letterhead banner for Walking Mall Poet – featuring custom illustration and hand lettering, except for the characters within the circles, POET, set in Gills Sans Regular. New logo design! We are proud to introduce a new logo we created this past December for the New Nature Writers!
New Nature Writers is an organization that establishes an ecosystem of places where people gather to write about the land and waters they love. New Nature Writers exists to encourage, mentor, and support writers within the Nature Writing genre.

(Fig. 1) This is a detail from an illustration created for an after-wedding party postcard. I referenced an entry from one of my old sketchbooks (Fig. 2). Given that it was a lovely summer wedding, I lightened up the costume and made it more festive. The bride loves frogs, so I looked up an illustration by the famous children's book illustrator, Randolph Caledecott. The frog in the story, The Frog Would A-Wooing Go (1883) served as a perfect model!

We are very happy to announce that the broth packaging designs we created with the lovely folks at 100 Bowls of Soup are complete! A big thank you to owner and founder, Katharine Mardirosian, and Jenn Ashworth for the opportunity, the inspiration, the excellent guidance and the ease and clarity in communications. Their delicious soups and broths were a great inspiration too!

Here is another example of Cathleen Titcomb’s work at her print shop, Curious Fox Press. When Fionnuala Quinn, the phenom founder of The Bureau of Good Roads, asked us to design their Sidewalk Superintendent card we knew letterpress was the only way to make these cards perfect. Fortunately, we had just read about Cathleen from a calendar posting in the Purcellville Gazette - she was giving a letterpress demo nearby at the Purcellville Library. We used to ship out work to other areas in the USA for letterpress, but now our source is right here in Loudoun County.  Read more about the amazing activities going on at The Bureau in their latest newsletter, click here.
